About This Role

Support individuals with developmental disabilities in Maumelle, AR by fostering life skills, promoting community engagement, and ensuring their well-being within a group home setting.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in developing essential life skills, from health and hygiene to independent living tasks
• Foster a positive and respectful environment at home and in the community
• Assist with daily routines as outlined in the Medicaid Waiver Person-Centered Service Plan
• Help individuals engage with their community through activities like shopping, social events, and appointments
• Provide safe and reliable transportation using your personal vehicle (must meet AR state insurance requirements)
• Maintain records of consumer expenses and document progress
• Offer valuable input during annual service planning meetings
• Complete required training, including CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, and in-service sessions
• Submit weekly documentation and timesheets on time

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid Arkansas driver's license
• Proof of auto liability insurance
• Ability to effectively interact with individuals and understand written instructions

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year of relevant experience in public health, human services, or a community service agency, or two years of verifiable experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
