The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides personal care and support services aligned with Individual Support Plans (ISP). This role focuses on helping individuals maintain comfort, build independence, and integrate into their community.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living and community integration skills using Person-Centered Practices
- Support ISP goals through training and engagement
- Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
- Assist with home-living tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, and shopping
- Monitor and report changes in condition or needs to the Executive Director or designee
- Complete documentation and daily progress notes accurately and on time
- Maintain safety standards, infection control practices, and proper equipment use
- Communicate effectively with team members and maintain confidentiality
- Attend required training and compliance programs
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle
