Dining Server

About This Role

Provide prompt and courteous dining service to residents and guests in a senior living community, including serving meals, cleaning, and assisting with food preparation and special events.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, hospitality duties, and meal service, including serving food, waiting tables, and bussing tables.
• Serve Breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals to residents, guests, and staff in the Dining Room or Bistro.
• Bus and reset tables as needed.
• Prepare salad bar items and desserts as directed.
• Assist in setting up for meetings and other special events, including delivery of snacks and beverages.
• Follow all sanitation guidelines, federal/state regulations, and Senior Living/Healthcare requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness of prep items and perform cleaning duties as scheduled.
• Operate and close dining rooms as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Current Food Handler’s Permit
• Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written, English) with residents and staff
• Ability to read and understand written instructions and follow safety practices

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Desired one (1) year of food service experience, including serving/waiting tables, cleaning, kitchen sanitation, and basic food/meal prep is preferred. Entry level candidates will also be considered.

Nice to Have

• One (1) year of food service experience
• Training in Servsafe
