The Dietary Cook prepares and serves meals for residents in a post-acute care community, ensuring quality food and dining service in accordance with health and safety standards. This role focuses on cooking home-cooked meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, without late-night shifts, and offers opportunities to showcase culinary skills in community events.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards and guidelines
- Adhere to center standards and procedures for food preparation and dining service
- Cook and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals for residents
- Showcase culinary talents in community events that are advertised through social media
Requirements
- High School diploma (or equivalent)
- Food Handler's Card or Serve Safe Training as required by state or local health departments
Qualifications
- High School diploma (or equivalent)
Nice to Have
- Previous cooking and/or culinary experience
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Post-acute care or health care experience
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft products
