Diet Technician, Per Diem

About This Role

The Diet Technician assists the Dietitian in providing comprehensive nutrition services to a diverse patient population, ensuring appropriate meals, nourishments, and special formulas are delivered. This role involves patient interaction to identify dietary needs and preferences.

Responsibilities

• Assists dietitian in the assessment of nutritional needs.
• Interview patients to identify food preferences, allergies, and nutritional status.
• Conducts meal rounds, diet restriction monitoring.
• Maintains pertinent records.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Good communication skills
• High level of service delivery
• Attention to detail
• Computer proficiency

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Dietetics preferred
• 1-2 years of dietetic technician experience with multiple patient populations preferred

Nice to Have

• Associate's Degree in Dietetics
• Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR/NDTR) certification
• 1-2 years of dietetic technician experience with multiple patient populations
