About This Role

This Diet Clerk position involves managing patient menus, collecting data, and performing diet office functions under the direction of management. The role focuses on assisting patients with menu selections in compliance with prescribed diets and ensuring proper distribution of dietary items.

Responsibilities

• Distribute and collect menus
• Assist patients in completing menu selections in compliance with prescribed diet
• Offer alternatives to menu as allowed on prescribed diet in accordance with food allergies or sensitivities, cultural, ethnic and religious preferences
• Plan regular and modified menus based on current diet manual
• Prepare and distribute supplements, tube feedings, and enteral formula in an accurate and timely manner
• Prepare, distribute, inventory and manage human/donor milk and/or infant formula (may be responsible)
• Adhere to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient's rights policies
• Complete all required documentation, reports and logs
• Follow facility and department infection-control policies and procedures
• Participate in facility-wide and department Performance Improvement Program
