DCFS Home Care Coordinator

About This Role

The DCFS Home Care Coordinator will oversee the DCFS program for the Marion, IL branch of Addus HomeCare, managing a team of Family Service Specialists. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and growth of services supporting Illinois families through DCFS.

Responsibilities

• Receive and track DCFS referrals, then assign cases to DCFS workers for staffing
• Assist with the new hire process for all new employees, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
• Drive the growth and development of the Marion, IL DCFS program
• Complete field visits to observe, conduct quality checks, or provide field training
• Provide in-office and field training for new DCFS workers
• Manage relationships with case workers, DCFS workers, and supervisors
• Act as a resource to the DCFS field team
• Supervise DCFS field work employees by setting expectations for attendance, performance, and conduct in line with company policies

Requirements

• Bachelors of Arts, Bachelors of Science or Social Work degree
• 2 years of related experience or experience working with children and families
• Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Reliable transportation (Driver's License, Insurance, and Vehicle)
