This role involves supporting Detroit residents by handling inbound calls and assisting walk-in visitors with applications and property information. The Customer Service Representative will also provide guidance on website navigation and program details, contributing to a mission-driven organization.
Responsibilities
- Handle 50–100 inbound calls daily from customers seeking information on available properties
- Assist walk-in visitors face to face with applications, property details, and program information
- Provide guidance on navigating the website and online property portal
- Transfer calls to internal departments as needed
- Support faith-based organizations and nonprofits seeking to join community partnership programs
- Learn and communicate program details clearly and professionally
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in a Call Center OR face-to-face customer service role
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving mindset
- Professional, reliable, and customer-focused
