Customer Service Associate I

About This Role

Deliver an excellent shopping experience for customers by assisting with questions, managing sales transactions, and maintaining a well-stocked and clean store environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning restrooms and floors, and taking out trash

Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents
• Ability to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height
• Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
