About This Role

The Customer Service Associate at Harveys Supermarkets will enhance customer confidence and loyalty by delivering accurate, fast, and friendly service at the customer service desk and media services. This role involves resolving customer concerns and collaborating with management to maintain high service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous attention to customer needs; greet, assist and thank customers promptly and courteously
  • Address customer issues/complaints and resolve them to full satisfaction within company guidelines, escalating to management as needed
  • Coordinate daily store cash and accounting functions according to company guidelines
  • Maintain knowledge of front-end operations and stay current on policy changes to support department service levels
  • Manage ACM lanes (self-checkout) according to company standards and policies, ensuring proper opening, reporting, and cash maintenance
  • Troubleshoot front-end equipment problems or contact retail service help desk as needed
  • Stock front-end products, restock and use supply items efficiently, and keep work area clean and free from safety hazards
  • Exhibit professional telephone etiquette and ensure connection to the appropriate department or associate
  • Perform cashier associate duties, as necessary
  • Perform pricing duties, as necessary

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
  • Ability to understand and follow English instructions
  • Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency
