About This Role

Lead the culinary team and transform dining services into a hallmark of excellence for a luxury senior living community. This role involves full operational performance responsibility, including menu execution, budget management, and enhancing resident and team member satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-performing culinary team with full responsibility for operational performance
  • Honor all contractual and other commitments to the client
  • Develop managers to maintain and exceed operating standards
  • Meet regularly with client partners for budget, performance metric reviews and business reviews
  • Look for ways to differentiate Thomas Cuisine's food quality and service
  • Teach and expect a "meal by meal" review of basics like temperature, food presentation, and genuine service
  • Ensure operations are clean, neat, safe, and organized according to standards and regulatory requirements
  • Work with managers to ensure specified ingredients are procured
  • Ensure compliance with human resource policies and procedures
  • Responsible for selection and orientation of exempt team members
  • Prepare and manage accurate budgets
  • Analyze P&L's and understand revenue and cost ratios

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years’ experience in culinary leadership with increasing responsibility or operation
  • Senior living, resort level hospitality, and or healthcare experience
  • Proven success in luxury environments with high service expectations
  • ServSafe certification
  • State Certified in Safe Food Handling and Sanitation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years’ experience in culinary leadership with increasing responsibility or operation
  • At least 5 years in culinary leadership with increasing responsibility, or equivalent experience; Senior living, resort level hospitality, and or healthcare experience required.

Nice to Have

  • Certified Dietary Manager Active License (CDM)
  • Willingness to study and pass CDM exam within first year of employment
