Cross Functional Representative

About This Role

This role will provide general customer service, perform checkout duties, and work across multiple departments including packaging, stocking, rotation, production, and sanitation. The representative will handle varied tasks daily within a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and answer customer questions regarding products
• Use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales
• Work a flexible schedule to accommodate shifts of different departments
• Perform duties in multiple departments, including technical or perishable areas like bakery, floral, or market
• Perform stocking, replenishment, product returns, rotation, selection, and inventory duties
• Build, stock, and maintain displays and fixtures
• Slice, package, label, rotate, merchandise, cull, and price product
• Ensure compliance with departmental/Store SOPs for food safety and sanitation
• Properly operate and maintain all equipment
• Clean and sanitize sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment
• Act as a Checker when not performing other Cross Functional duties

Requirements

• Minimum age 18
• High school diploma, or equivalent
• 6+ months of experience in H-E-B Store operations
• Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training
• Customer service and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to provide superior Customer Service
• Ability to adapt to performing a wide range of duties across multiple departments
• Ability to work autonomously
• Knowledge of computer systems (Symbol, ACR, label machine)
• Verbal/written communication and reading skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent
• 6+ months of experience in H-E-B Store operations
