This Crisis Clinician will provide direct patient care, including crisis assessment and referral services, within an Emergency Department setting. The role involves facilitating patient de-escalation, completing assessments, and collaborating with community resources.
Responsibilities
- Provide crisis assessment and referral services
- Facilitate and support patient and/or family de-escalation
- Support patient safety planning
- Complete psychosocial assessments
- Complete assigned screenings
- Complete discharge planning
- Collaborate with community and state facilities using knowledge of local resources and family support services
- Participate in continued education and in-service training
Requirements
- Bachelors in social work
- 1 year of experience in healthcare, social services, or human services setting
- Licensed as a Social Worker in state of practice OR Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) OR Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) OR Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) OR Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
Qualifications
- Bachelors in social work
- 1 year of experience in healthcare, social services, or human services setting

- Master of Science in Social Administration
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
