Crisis Clinician

About This Role

This Crisis Clinician will provide direct patient care, including crisis assessment and referral services, within an Emergency Department setting. The role involves facilitating patient de-escalation, completing assessments, and collaborating with community resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis assessment and referral services
• Facilitate and support patient and/or family de-escalation
• Support patient safety planning
• Complete psychosocial assessments
• Complete assigned screenings
• Complete discharge planning
• Collaborate with community and state facilities using knowledge of local resources and family support services
• Participate in continued education and in-service training

Requirements

• Bachelors in social work
• 1 year of experience in healthcare, social services, or human services setting
• Licensed as a Social Worker in state of practice OR Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) OR Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) OR Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) OR Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)

Qualifications

• Bachelors in social work
• 1 year of experience in healthcare, social services, or human services setting

• Master of Science in Social Administration
• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
• Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
