This Court Clerk position involves performing advanced administrative work using an electronic filing system within the Missouri State Court System. It requires independent judgment in applying statutes, policies, and regulations, with frequent interaction with the public.
Responsibilities
- Perform case processing (receiving and initiating case files)
- Review judgments, prepare warrants, summonses, garnishments, and executions
- Set bonds and control dockets
- Review legal documents for necessary filing information and determine processing required
- Perform accounting duties including receiving and disbursing monies
- Reconcile financial accounts and prepare daily and monthly financial reports
- Prepare documents such as court orders, calendars, and notices of hearings
- Coordinate the flow of documents for court assignments
- Queue electronically filed proceedings for processing
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in a related field OR 60 semester hours from an institution of higher learning
- 1 year of varied administrative experience performing a wide range of technical office duties

Nice to Have
- Basic knowledge of court procedures, policies, legal documents, laws and legal factors
- Basic knowledge of court organization operations, functions, and scope of authority
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively with high-volume workload
- Ability to exercise good judgment and make independent decisions
- Ability to maintain complex records and prepare reports from an automated system
