About This Role

This role is responsible for delivering and retrieving blood and blood products, samples, and equipment to and from various medical facilities and mobile drives. The courier plays a crucial part in the blood supply chain, directly contributing to saving lives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, retrieve, distribute, and transport blood products, samples, equipment, specimens, and supplies
• Process and prepare orders for distribution of blood and blood components
• Retrieve and secure products from assigned locations at closing
• Be available and respond to "on-call" as scheduled
• Coordinate with Satellites and Mobile Blood Drive for pickup of products
• Conduct minor maintenance and upkeep of vehicles and equipment
• Perform quality control and maintenance equipment as appropriate

Requirements

• At least 21 years old
• Valid driver license
• Driving record with zero points and no moving violations or accidents within the last three years
• Comfortable driving in all types of severe weather
• Ability to lift at least 60 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to walk 2-3 miles daily

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
