This role involves managing the daily operations of banking systems, including supporting applications, collaborating with IT and vendors, and ensuring timely resolution of issues. This position is critical for maintaining robust banking applications and processes within the financial services industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of banking systems
- Work with vendors for escalations, system updates, and bank initiatives
- Collaborate with other systems administrators, IT, and other departments
- Support banking applications and their dependencies, from requirements gathering to troubleshooting
- Support solution delivery lifecycle, including detailing requirements, collaborating with IT developers and business teams, and supporting deployment efforts
- Participate in the Change Management process for applications and update documentation
- Provide training to Banking System Administrators
- Coordinate with technology teams to resolve interdependencies and issues
Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience in Branch Banking Operations, IT--App Support or systems within financial services
- 3+ years experience in application support, professional services, and/or QA
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations (deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, or commercial banking products)
- Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices
- Intermediate understanding of incident management processes, including root cause analysis and documentation
- Intermediate knowledge of core banking systems, preferably FIS banking core systems (IBS, Teller Insight, SRM, FTM)
- Entry level to intermediate experience translating business needs into system requirements and configurations
- Entry level to intermediate experience knowledge of problem management processes
- Entry level to intermediate knowledge of and experience with lean processes improvement
- Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years of related experience in Branch Banking Operations, IT--App Support or systems experience within the financial services industry, plus 3+ years experience in application support, professional services, and/or QA.
