About This Role

Lead the In-Store Selling Team to deliver exceptional customer service, manage daily department operations, and drive sales through engaging cooking events. This role involves planning, execution, and team development within a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the key point of contact for Total Store Event planning, leading execution for customer experience and selling
  • Prepare and communicate key performance indicators and results to Store Management and Selling Team
  • Serve as a role model and leader to ensure customer experience and hospitality excel across the Store
  • Ensure proper processes and protocols for all in-store sampling and selling activities
  • Serve as the Own Brand Ambassador for the Store and lead Partner education for H-E-B brands and products
  • Maintain department standards through daily walks, training, communication, and accountability
  • Lead recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and development of the H-E-B Connections Team
  • Manage Partner performance, deliver performance reviews, and resolve Partner-related matters
  • Increase department contribution by effectively driving sales and customer engagement through selling events
  • Ensure Department and Partners comply with H-E-B, federal, state, and local policies for food safety and sanitation

Requirements

  • Minimum age 21
  • 3+ years of experience in event coordination, demonstrations and selling, customer service, or a related culinary arts field
  • Experience in inventory management
  • Experience leading a team of five or more
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Ability to complete TABC Certification
