Prepare food items according to production requirements and quality standards, ensuring a safe and sanitary work environment. This role is responsible for contributing to guest satisfaction and team goals in a fast-paced kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
- Help achieve ongoing guest satisfaction and team goals
- Prep food items ahead of time as requested, avoiding over-preparation
- Return unused food items to designated storage areas, covering and dating perishables
- Assist in developing plans and actions to correct food cost problems, controlling waste and usage
- Date all food containers and rotate as per food standards, ensuring proper temperatures for perishables
- Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line setup
- Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages
- Receive and unpack items from food vendors, dating and packing them according to department standards
Requirements
- 18+ years old
- High level of professionalism
- Reliable transportation with valid drivers license required
- Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years restaurant or kitchen experience preferred
Nice to Have

- Excellent verbal communication and organization skills
