About This Role

Prepare and serve meals to residents, oversee foodservice operations, and ensure adequate food and supplies while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food to residents within the scheduled timeframe
• Follow menu cycle, noting changes or substitutions
• Clean and maintain a neat, safe working environment, including the kitchen and food service areas
• Comply with state sanitation codes
• Maintain inventory control, place food orders, verify items are received appropriately, and restock
• Ensure that resident food preferences are known and followed

Requirements

• Experience as a cook
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets
• Ability to obtain a Food Handlers card
• Meet all mandatory health requirements by state regulations
• Read, write, speak and understand English
