Prepare, portion, and cook food items according to Outback's quality specifications for an AUS-SOME dining experience. Maintain high standards for food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation within a large, well-designed kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food items quickly and accurately for a diverse menu
- Work in specific line cook positions such as Salad, Fry, Dessert, Sauté, Grill, Make Up, or as Kitchen Prep Cook
- Maintain kitchen equipment and surrounding cleanliness
- Collaborate with the team to achieve food preparation and delivery standards
- Adhere to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during shifts
- Prepare food using proper safety equipment, tools, and recipe specifications under management direction
- Practice food safety and sanitation, and restock the kitchen and cook line as needed
Requirements
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments
- Ability to walk, stand, or bend for long periods of time
- Vision abilities including distance, close, color, depth, and peripheral vision
- Ability to adjust focus
