Controller

About This Role

This hands-on Controller role is for a detail-oriented accounting leader at a luxury retail company, responsible for GAAP compliance, strengthening accounting policies, and managing a small team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare and oversee consolidated financial statements
• Manage external audit and tax engagements, serving as the primary firm contact
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures
• Provide accurate financial reporting and analysis to senior leadership
• Supervise and mentor a team of two accounting professionals
• Support special projects and strategic initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Finance preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
