Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and compliance functions for a private equity-backed service company. Strengthen and scale the finance organization, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee core accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and related activities
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes for multiple entities
- Review and analyze financial results, identify key variances and trends, and communicate insights and drivers to finance team and business partners
- Develop, maintain, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support compliance, accuracy, and scalability
- Partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, tax, and other internal teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes
- Lead or support external audit and tax processes, coordinating with external auditors, advisors, and service providers to ensure timely and accurate completion
- Support special projects and initiatives related to system implementations, process automation, and organizational growth
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with leadership responsibility in a multi-entity or complex reporting environment
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and accounting best practices
- Proven ability to operate in both hands-on and leadership capacities within a growing or changing organization
- Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
- Clear, effective communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility in a multi-entity or complex reporting environment
