This role involves managing federal government prime contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing contracts support to internal and external stakeholders. The Contracts Manager will handle all aspects of the contracting lifecycle, from proposals to closeout, while maintaining a strong customer-service approach.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Owners, Subcontractors, and lawyers
- Prepare proposals in response to Solicitations
- Draft Change Order Proposals
- Manage Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, and their modifications
- Draft correspondence to the Government and/or Subcontractors
- Provide administrative support for multiple projects
- Advise Healtheon Team Members on processes and procedures related to contracts
- Coordinate with Legal Counsel
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the Federal Government Acquisition environment
- Maintain audit-ready contract files
Requirements
- 5+ years of business experience in Federal Government Prime contracts and subcontracts
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of commercial contracting methods, especially subcontracts under Federal Prime Contracts
- Familiarity and ability to research FAR/DFARS and Agency Supplements and Regulations
- Hands on experience with FFP, T&M, IDIQ Multiple Award Construction Contracts, Design/Build contract types
Qualifications
- Degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of business experience in the performance, administration and management of Federal Government Prime contracts and subcontracts.
