About This Role

This role will manage Sift's legal contracts function and lead the legal operations evolution, working closely with sales and operations teams to streamline contract processes. The manager will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating various contracts, administering procurement contracts, and driving continuous process improvement and automation within the legal function.

Responsibilities

  • Review and negotiate various buy and sell side contracts, including order forms, NDAs, and MSAs
  • Own the business procurement contract administration lifecycle, from responding to and tracking inbound requests to finalizing agreements
  • Collaborate cross functionally, particularly with sales and sales operations to streamline the sales process and related deal cycles
  • Create and maintain key templates, playbooks, policies, and other knowledge materials
  • Track and report on department metrics to inform decision-making
  • Drive continuous process improvement and automation or AI-driven work enhancements, re-imagined processes and creation of process collateral

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years prior in-house work experience as a contracts manager
  • Minimum of 3 years in-house at a B2B SaaS company focused on contracts administration, legal operations or similar role
  • Direct experience in, and responsibility for, managing and negotiating contracts
  • Experience using contract lifecycle management systems and other technology or AI based legal operations solutions
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Demonstrable experience developing and implementing tools and processes to streamline and improve the legal function
  • Strong organizational, time, and project management skills
  • Ability and flexibility to handle high volume and balance competing demands
  • Passion for organization, attention to detail, and driving open matters to closure

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years prior in-house work experience as a contracts manager, including a minimum of 3 years in-house at a B2B SaaS company focused on contracts administration, legal operations or similar role with direct experience in, and responsibility for, managing and negotiating contracts.
