Continuous Improvement Intern

About This Role

Join ProAmpac's manufacturing team as a Continuous Improvement Intern to drive cost savings and process efficiency improvements. This role offers hands-on experience in process improvement, data analysis, and project execution, aligning with the site’s 2026 operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Support cost savings and efficiency projects, including scrap reduction, throughput improvement, and new process development
• Identify and help lead quick-win improvement opportunities (e.g., 5S initiatives, supplier cost savings)
• Assist with project management by tracking action items, timelines, and deliverables
• Conduct root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, and time studies
• Analyze data and prepare reports to track and communicate project progress and effectiveness
• Collaborate with a wide range of personnel across manufacturing and engineering teams

Requirements

• Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable working cross-functionally in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Interest or experience in process improvement, problem solving, and data analysis

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field

Nice to Have

• Exposure (academic or practical) to continuous improvement or data analysis tools
