Construction Project Manager (Multifamily)

About This Role

Manage multifamily construction projects for a general contractor in Richmond, VA, from preconstruction through closeout. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget by overseeing scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget
• Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate subcontractor activities, and track progress to achieve key milestones
• Monitor project budgets, review invoices and change orders, and support cost control efforts to maintain financial performance
• Procure and manage subcontractors, ensuring scope compliance, quality workmanship, and timely execution
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting, providing clear updates to internal teams and ownership

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing multifamily or commercial construction projects with a general contractor
• Proficiency with construction management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Solid understanding of multifamily construction processes, subcontractor coordination, and local permitting and inspection requirements
• Organized, detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in an on-site environment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing multifamily or commercial construction projects with a general contractor
