Construction Materials Engineering Project Manager

About This Role

Manage all aspects of construction materials engineering projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within scope and budget. Oversee project progress and performance, troubleshoot operational problems, and coordinate project staff and resources.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of small to medium sized projects
• Review reports and other project associated deliverables
• Work with clients or NAM to define project scope, schedule and budget
• Design, communicate, and implement a project plan for completing the project
• Lead safety efforts including preparation and compliance with approved safety plan
• Take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays
• Identify, develop, and gather resources to complete the project, including preparing calculations, designs, reports and work specifications
• Coordinate with other departments or offices to secure specialized resources
• Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project
• Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestones

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline including Engineering or Construction Management OR 9 years’ related experience
• 5+ years related experience with Bachelor's degree (or 9+ years without)
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline including Engineering or Construction Management
• Minimum of 5 years’ related experience, or 9 years’ related experience in lieu of a degree

Nice to Have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Professional Engineer (PE) or similar professional registration/certification relevant to the type of services
