Construction Intern

About This Role

The Summer Internship Program at Yates Construction provides college students with 12 weeks of hands-on experience by rotating through various departments within the construction industry. Interns will apply academic knowledge in real-world settings and learn how teams collaborate to deliver projects.

Responsibilities

• Apply academic knowledge in real-world settings
• Rotate through multiple departments to gain exposure to different functions
• Take detailed notes to capture important insights and instructions
• Seek advice and mentorship from both peers and experienced professionals

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an undergraduate or graduate program in construction, engineering, or a related field
• Reliable transportation and/or ability to travel or relocate for the summer
• Strong work ethic with professionalism and reliability
• Goal-driven and able to meet deadlines
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Eager to learn and develop new skills in construction and project management
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Maintain a positive attitude and adapt well to working in a team-oriented, dynamic environment

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate program in construction, engineering, or a related field
• Entry-level internship designed for students currently enrolled in or recent graduates of a college program with a strong interest in the construction industry.
