Construction Estimator

About This Role

The Construction Estimator will be an integral part of a well-respected construction management firm, preparing detailed estimates, reviewing project documentation, and managing subcontractor proposals for continued success in South Florida.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity takeoffs and detailed estimates at all project phases
• Review drawings and specifications to define scope, pricing, risks, and bid requirements
• Level subcontractor proposals and incorporate historical and market cost data
• Maintain organized estimating files, metrics, and variance reports
• Support subcontract purchasing, awards, and contract documentation
• Assist in enforcing safety standards during preconstruction
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers

Requirements

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience
• Strong knowledge of estimating practices, construction methods, and cost controls
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of construction estimating experience

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with the New York construction market
