Construction Coordinator

About This Role

Coordinate between Veolia Water PA, customers, contractors, and regulatory authorities for the planning, design, and construction of water distribution facilities. Ensure compliance with plans and schedules, track project progression, and act as a liaison between departments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect new and replacement infrastructure projects
• Assist in the review of design and layout of water distribution facilities
• Prepare design material take-offs and assist in purchasing/receiving materials
• Perform field testing and inspection of projects, ensuring compliance with Company and governmental policies
• Resolve conflicts between design and field conditions in a timely manner
• Communicate with Contractor/Developer, government officials, and customers via letters, e-mail, and phone
• Review GIS as-built points of jobs to ensure accuracy and complete information
• Inspect, coordinate, and deliver miscellaneous capital projects as assigned
• Operate assets/equipment in the field for projects (valve turning, flushing, line locating, leak detection)
• Track water usage on projects for NRW

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 5 years of experience in construction of water distribution facilities
• Strong Interpersonal and Oral Communication skills
• Ability to read design drawings
• Proficiency with Excel, Google, and/or database computer skills
• Strong Project Management Skills
• Self-directed, able to work with little supervision
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret, and reason
• Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to communicate
• Willingness to acquire Class E DEP Water License within 1 year
• Forklift Operator Certified

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required. Some College preferred.
• 5 years of experience in construction of water distribution facilities
