Perform high quality diagnostic CT procedures while applying radiation protection principles and administering contrast media according to departmental protocols. This role involves communicating effectively with patients, maintaining confidentiality, and adapting to dynamic healthcare environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform high quality Diagnostic CT procedures
- Apply principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient
- Identify and administer correct contrast media per departmental protocol
- Use and maintain aseptic technique, accurately draw up sterile contrast media and other solutions
- Maintain knowledge of and observe universal precautions and all other precautions
- Respond to patients changing physical conditions
- Legibly complete protocol sheets and document own actions and patient responses
- Move patients safely from transportation devices to and from the CT table
- Move heavy equipment such as a portable CT scanner
- Receive, relay, and document verbal, written, and electronic orders in the patient's medical record
Requirements
- Current ARRT registration
- Compliance with State of Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs CT installations ionizing radiation Rules
- Compliance with American College of Radiology CT Accreditation Program requirements
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients
- Understanding and application of Guest Relations skills and excellent customer service skills

Qualifications
- Graduation from a school of radiology technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Reasonable experience in diagnostic radiography or computerized tomography
Nice to Have
- CT certification
- Previous CT experience
- PACS Experience
- Proficient computer skills
- EPIC experience
