Commodity Trade Finance & Collateral Analyst

About This Role

This role involves overseeing financial controls and contract reconciliation for a client overseeing commodity trade finance. You will manage cash flow, credit utilization, and inventory tracking for purchase and sales contracts. This position requires collaboration with trade finance, physical operations, and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliations of cash receipts, accounts receivable, and financing charge calculations.
• Monitor inventory tracking, financial booking, and work-in-progress (WIP) to ensure operational accuracy.
• Oversee credit utilization, collateral reporting, and structured trade finance transactions with banking partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers.
• Ensure seamless coordination between site teams and headquarters.
• Prepare reconciliation reports and ensure alignment with financial and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Financial Management
• 4-6 years of experience in commodities operations and/or trade finance
• Strong understanding of physical trade finance, collateral calculations, and credit facilities
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Experience with inventory management and accounting systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Financial Management
• 4-6 years of experience in commodities operations and/or trade finance

Nice to Have

• Experience in structured trade finance transactions and physical operations
• Experience with NetSuite
