Commercial Litigation Attorney (In-House)

About This Role

This in-house Commercial Litigation Attorney role involves supporting arbitration, commercial disputes, and regulatory litigation within a regulated corporate environment. The attorney will manage active litigation matters, advise on risk mitigation, and provide guidance on litigation exposure and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support business litigation matters, including civil arbitration and court proceedings, representing the company as needed
• Identify contractual, regulatory, compliance, and financial risks while developing mitigation strategies with key stakeholders
• Lead negotiation strategies and draft, review, and advise on commercial agreements and transaction-related documentation
• Partner with compliance teams to support regulatory matters and ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations
• Provide legal guidance to business teams while collaborating with legal, compliance, finance, and operations stakeholders

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in New York or Connecticut
• 3-5 years of corporate or commercial litigation experience
• Exposure to civil arbitration and court litigation
• Ability to read and analyze financial statements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
