Join The Davey Tree Expert Company's Commercial Landscape Internship to gain hands-on experience in green industry career pathways, working with experienced professionals to maintain and enhance commercial properties.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside experienced Project Managers, Crew Leaders, Landscape & Turf professionals
- Deliver exceptional client service and maintain the health and beauty of trees & landscapes on commercial properties
- Enhance the appearance and value of properties through cultivation of shrubs & trees
- Plant, spray, weed, fertilize and water plants, shrubs, and trees in the landscape
- Transplant seedlings, cuttings, trees, and shrubs
- Maintain and repair irrigation and climate control systems
- Safely operate landscape equipment
- Gain exposure to daily operations and business components of a Commercial Landscape office
Requirements
- Currently enrolled and studying Horticulture, Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, Plant Science, Forestry, Arboriculture, Natural Resources or related discipline in a 2 or 4 year degree program
- Driver’s license
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled and studying Horticulture, Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, Plant Science, Forestry, Arboriculture, Natural Resources or related discipline in a 2 or 4 year degree program.
Nice to Have
- Commercial driver’s license
- Enthusiasm for proper plant care and arboriculture
- Love of the Outdoors!
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Demonstrated ability to report to work regularly and punctually
- Collaboration and communication skills
