About This Role

This role is for a Commercial HVAC Service Technician Level 3 who will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of commercial HVAC systems, from chillers to heating systems and controls. The position requires a high level of technical expertise and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and adhere to all company safety requirements and processes
  • Service, perform maintenance on, and repair most air-cooled water chillers equipped with reciprocating, scroll, or screw compressors
  • Service, perform maintenance on, and repair most water-cooled DX water chillers equipped with reciprocating, scroll, or screw compressors
  • Service, perform maintenance on, and repair electronic controls incorporated with most packaged water chillers
  • Service, perform maintenance on, and repair chilled- and hot-water piping and pumping systems equipped with variable speed drives
  • Service, perform maintenance on, and repair most gas-fired and electric hot-water heating systems typically found in commercial systems
  • Service, perform maintenance on, and repair electronic and computer-controlled digital temperature-control systems
  • Service, perform maintenance on, and repair electronic variable-speed drives typically connected to VAV air handlers and pumps
  • Service, perform maintenance on, and repair packaged, water-cooled AC units up to 100 tons, water-source heat pumps, and computer-room-type units
  • Perform basic maintenance on atmospheric gas fired hot water boilers and general maintenance on chilled- and hot-water piping and pumping systems

Requirements

  • Broad knowledge of larger commercial HVAC equipment
  • Understanding of single and three phase electrical systems
  • Ability to travel to job sites and occasionally have overnight stays

Qualifications

  • High school or trade school graduate or GED
  • At least five years of commercial HVAC experience
