Manage the workflow and production workforce at an OEM-owned Collision repair center, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety. Lead, coach, and develop a highly engaged team to achieve business goals and objectives within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective supervision and coaching to all site shifts to meet quality and facility goals
- Maintain shop records and inventories
- Manage the flow of work through the facility
- Act as the process leader for assigned site
- Define and improve work standards with input from technicians and the team
- Lead, coach, and develop a highly engaged team
- Ensure work standards are current and accurate
- Monitor employees to ensure they follow safety regulations and the collision center's safety program
- Work with employees to resolve technical and personnel issues
- Schedule staff to meet facility needs and allow for vacations and time off according to company policies
- Select team members and ensure they receive required training
- Hold regular one-on-one development meetings to support their professional growth and career advancement
- Monitor training needs for the team and individuals, and coordinate training with training team resources as needed
- Provide effective daily communication to align all team members on goals
- Share any issues that affect the facility or the overall organization
- Partner with the Regional Manager to scale and grow shop production to meet company targets
- Work collaboratively with key partners
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience leading a collision center, refurbishment center, service center, or similar
- Strong understanding of Collision shop business processes and operations
- Strong tactical problem solver
- Capable of multi-tasking
- Effectively leading a team to achieve business goals and objectives
- Ability to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality and quantity
- Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities
- Set and achieve goals
- Lead group root-cause problem-solving
- Develop quick countermeasures
- Able to interact effectively with customers as needed
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Understanding of repair estimates
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience leading a collision center, refurbishment center, service center, or similar; 5-10+ years of collision technical experience or aptitude preferred
