Coach: Percussion Tech: Front Ensemble

About This Role

The Percussion Tech will support high school marching band and winter percussion programs, assisting with rehearsal preparation, instruction, and performance to foster student creativity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching front ensemble all exercises and music
• Assist with the maintenance of all front ensemble percussion instruments; tuning, replacing parts and heads, cleaning
• Attend and assist at rehearsals and performances as scheduled with the director
• Foster student creativity, discipline, and teamwork in a culturally responsive and inclusive environment

Requirements

• Experience in percussion pedagogy, rehearsal planning and implementation
• Experience teaching high school-aged students
• Experience teaching small and large group instruction
• Ability to pass fingerprint clearance and provide current TB test results prior to employment
