CNC Operator

About This Role

Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining functions like drilling, cutting, or grinding. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, selecting tools and materials, adjusting machine settings, and ensuring quality of final products.

Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
• Set up and operate CNC machines according to job specifications and production schedules
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machining operations
• Select the appropriate tools, materials, and fixtures needed for each job
• Adjust machine settings to ensure accuracy and quality of the finished parts
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure smooth production
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, such as cleaning and lubricating
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform basic repairs as needed
• Adhere to safety and quality control standards at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
• Knowledge of CNC programming and machine controls
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and gauges
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training is a plus
• Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment
