Join Senior Helpers of Greater Richmond as a CNA or PCA to provide compassionate in-home care to seniors, assisting with daily activities, medication management, and companionship. This role offers a rewarding career focused on improving the quality of life for clients.
Responsibilities
- Engage in meaningful conversations and provide emotional support to seniors
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Assist clients with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed medication schedules
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on dietary requirements and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for the senior
- Assist with transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other essential outings
- Observe and report any changes in the senior's health or behavior to appropriate healthcare professionals or family members
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided and any significant changes in the client's condition
Requirements
- 1 year of CNA/NA/PCA experience preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to drive clients in own vehicle
Qualifications
- 1 year of CNA/NA/PCA experience preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience working in assisted living facilities, independent living facilities, senior living facilities, nursing homes, home care or healthcare
- Passion about helping others
- Enjoy customer service and communicating with clients
