CNA - Geisinger Hospice Per Diem

About This Role

Provide essential support and assistance with personal hygiene and household tasks for clients in their homes, enabling them to maintain independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents
• Maintain confidentiality and use the EVV system
• Ensure a safe environment and operate medical equipment properly
• Respond promptly to client needs

Requirements

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transportation
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to work flexible hours and independently
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
• Successfully complete one of the following category III and IV PA state-specific requirements: a competency OR training program developed by the agency that meets the requirements identified in 28 Pa. Code 611.55 OR A home health aide training program meeting the requirements of 42 CFR 484.36 OR A training program meeting the training standards imposed on the agency as a provider in a Medicaid Waiver or other publicly funded program providing PCS services.
