CNA Certified Nursing Assistant

About This Role

This role involves assisting patients/residents with daily care needs and comforts, including hygiene, nutrition, and activity support, while following infection control standards and maintaining a courteous demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist with resident/patient care needs and comforts (oral hygiene, bathing, nail care, shaving, hair care)
• Ensure bowel and bladder needs are met per standards of care
• Perform activities to assist with residents' nutritional needs
• Assist with residents' activity needs, such as ambulation, moving, lifting, and positioning
• Follow infection control standards, policies, and procedures
• Treat all residents, visitors, and employees with courtesy
• Accept and organize assignments as delegated by the LPN/RN
• Exhibit knowledge of Resident Rights and report resident concerns/complaints to LPN/RN
• Ensure residents' needs are met upon request
• Consistently perform CNA skills (vital signs, foley care, specimen collection, use of lifts and equipment)

Requirements

• Current Arkansas CNA certification
• Ability to appropriately communicate, speak, and write

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred or a certificate in Nursing Assistant

Nice to Have

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Certificate in Nursing Assistant
• Long Term Care Experience
