Cloud Systems Architect

About This Role

Engineer and support public, private, and hybrid cloud infrastructures, ensuring security and optimizing cloud management strategies for government clients. This role involves designing system architectures, coordinating subsystem integration, and providing technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Act as an advisor to customers regarding cloud management strategies to optimize benefits and reduce costs
• Work with the IT Security team to manage and maintain cloud systems security for data and network resources
• Engineer customer premise applications and systems interconnected to cloud resources
• Design and define system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems
• Determine systems specifications, input/output processes, and parameters for hardware/software compatibility and system security
• Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of the total system
• Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
• Provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers

Requirements

• Complete understanding of technology required for cloud computing
• Experience with migrating applications to the cloud
• Ability to build relationships between customers and team members
• Knowledge to integrate services and tools (networks, data processing)
• Ability to implement security information and event management (SIEM)
• Experience meeting or exceeding cloud provider service-level agreements
• Experience with AWS and Azure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of work experience with cloud computing technology
