This role involves managing a portfolio of surgical clinical trials for the Department of Cardiac Surgery, focusing on advancing healthcare outcomes for patients. The Clinical Research Coordinator will apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills across various clinical studies.
Responsibilities
- Perform study procedures with accuracy
- Triage complex study concerns appropriately
- Schedule, prepare for, and attend study initiation meetings, monitor visits, and audits
- Manage increasing levels of protocol complexity and/or volume efficiently
- Lead aortic clinical trials under supervision of Clinical Trial Lead and Clinical Research Manager
- Contribute to the development of processes and tools to capture data in accordance with ALCOA-C principles
- Create CRFs, study documents, and tools
- Resolve complicated queries
- Monitor site compliance with subject safety reporting, escalate issues, and contribute to the development of tools and processes to enhance subject safety
- Provide logistic and regulation guidance on Investigator Initiated Studies for adherence to University and Federal guidelines
- Oversee aortic clinical research coordinators
- Support study team members on a range of communication and teamwork best practices
- Participate in trainings specifically for maintaining certification as a Clinical Research Professional
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Health Science or equivalent
- Certification (CCRC or CCRP) required within six months of hire
- Minimum 3 years of clinical research and clinical trials experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Science or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
- Minimum 3 years of directly related experience in clinical research and clinical trials
