About This Role

The Clinical Research Coordinator I will support ongoing clinical research studies in an inpatient neurology setting and contribute to lab-based metabolomics projects within the Kimberly Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital. This role involves participant interaction, regulatory management, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Screen and recruit participants for clinical research studies
  • Obtain informed consent from study participants
  • Perform study-related tasks including conducting portable low-field MRI scans
  • Conduct cognitive assessments for study participants
  • Manage regulatory documentation across several research protocols
  • Work closely with clinical staff in the Neurosciences ICU and inpatient neurology floor
  • Coordinate with other ongoing inpatient studies
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of investigators, physicians, nurses, industry partners, and suppliers
  • Contribute to ongoing metabolomics projects using LC-MS/MS
  • Perform sample processing and data analysis for metabolomics projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Careful attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Working knowledge of clinical research protocols
  • Ability to demonstrate respect and professionalism for subjects' rights and individual needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study
  • 0-1 year of relevant research project work preferred

  • Some relevant research project work (0-1 year)
