The Clinical Research Coordinator I will support ongoing clinical research studies in an inpatient neurology setting and contribute to lab-based metabolomics projects within the Kimberly Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital. This role involves participant interaction, regulatory management, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Screen and recruit participants for clinical research studies
- Obtain informed consent from study participants
- Perform study-related tasks including conducting portable low-field MRI scans
- Conduct cognitive assessments for study participants
- Manage regulatory documentation across several research protocols
- Work closely with clinical staff in the Neurosciences ICU and inpatient neurology floor
- Coordinate with other ongoing inpatient studies
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of investigators, physicians, nurses, industry partners, and suppliers
- Contribute to ongoing metabolomics projects using LC-MS/MS
- Perform sample processing and data analysis for metabolomics projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Careful attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Working knowledge of clinical research protocols
- Ability to demonstrate respect and professionalism for subjects' rights and individual needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study
- 0-1 year of relevant research project work preferred
