About This Role

This role provides essential assistance on clinical research studies at the Massachusetts Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, focusing on understanding brain aging and neurodegenerative diseases. The coordinator will implement study protocols, collect and organize patient data, and perform clinical tests.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, evaluate, and consent patients for studies
  • Collect and organize patient data
  • Schedule patients for study visits
  • Perform clinical tests such as phlebotomy and EKGs
  • Maintain and update data generated by the study
  • Implement study protocols
  • Administer neuropsychological tests to elderly subjects
  • Obtain vital signs and anthropometric measures
  • Draw blood via phlebotomy and finger stick
  • Assist with regulatory binders and QA/QC procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Careful attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Working knowledge of clinical research protocols
  • Ability to demonstrate respect and professionalism for subjects' rights and individual needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
  • Some relevant research project work 0-1 year preferred
