About This Role

Join a pediatric emergency medicine research team to screen and recruit patients for studies aimed at improving patient care and outcomes. This entry-level position involves providing coordination, regulatory, and administrative support for multiple clinical research projects.

Responsibilities

  • Screen and recruit patients and families for research studies
  • Provide coordination, regulatory, and administrative support for multiple clinical research projects
  • Interact with patients, families, physicians, and nurses
  • Coordinate clinical research projects such as registries, retrospective data reviews, and long-term follow-up
  • Provide updates on research progress, subject-related challenges, recruitment strategies, and policies
  • Develop competence in human subjects enrollment, scientific concepts, research design, and ethical participant safety
  • Gain expertise in investigational products development, clinical study operations (GCPs), and regulatory management (IRBs)
  • Develop skills in data management, informatics, leadership, professionalism, communication, and teamwork

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is necessary, Bachelor's degree preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in health science or equivalent combination of related education and experience
  • Effective organizational, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional ability in handling multiple tasks
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Experience in a large complex health care setting
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff and faculty of all levels
  • Knowledge of university policies and procedures
