Join our research team in the pediatric emergency medicine department, screening and recruiting patients for studies to improve patient care and outcomes. Provide coordination, regulatory, and administrative support for multiple clinical research projects.
Responsibilities
- Screen and recruit patients and families for research studies
- Provide coordination, regulatory, and administrative support for multiple clinical research projects
- Interact with patients, families, physicians, and nurses
- Coordinate clinical research projects such as registries, retrospective data reviews, and long-term follow-up
- Provide updates on research progress, subject-related challenges, recruitment strategies, and specific policies and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is necessary, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Entry level position on the Michigan Medicine CRC Career Ladder
Nice to Have
- Effective organizational, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills
- Self-starter and ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional ability in handling multiple tasks
- Associate or bachelor's degree in health science or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Experience in a large complex health care setting
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff and faculty of all levels
- Knowledge of university policies and procedures
