Clinical Professor

About This Role

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan is seeking a full-time clinical-track faculty member to work in Ambulatory Psychiatry to focus on the treatment of adults. Clinical Professor will provide high-quality clinical care and education at a well-developed, highly multidisciplinary adult clinic, including general psychiatric care for adults with mood and anxiety disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care at a multidisciplinary adult clinic
• Share in teaching responsibilities of medical learners including medical students, house officers, and clinical fellows
• Participate in or lead quality improvement and research efforts
• Provide mentorship and didactic teaching to learners in related disciplines (social work, psychology, pharmacy)
• Engage in patient care activities with learners in related disciplines

Requirements

• M.D. or equivalent degree
• Certified or eligible and working towards certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
• Hold or be eligible for Michigan medical and pharmacy licenses
• Evidence of clinical competence
• Competence in clinical and didactic teaching
