About This Role

Provide professional nursing care within the Mother-Baby unit at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, coordinating care planning with other disciplines while assessing and developing patient care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care within an assigned unit
• Coordinate care planning with other disciplines
• Correlate patient history and support systems within hospital care/nursing home care
• Assess learning needs of patient and family
• Develop and initiate plan of care, involving patient and family
• Recommend interventions
• Evaluate plan of care
• Resolve problems regarding moderately complex issues without oversight or supervision
• Precept employees/students as directed and review their clinical performance
• Demonstrate competence in performing critical skills and appropriate delivery of age-specific care
• Supervise LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters

Requirements

• Must have and maintain Tennessee State RN licensure
• CPR required
• At least one (1) year of professional nursing experience
