This role involves overseeing patient care in a 54-bed acute Medical and Surgical unit, including performing interventions, documenting care, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. The Clinical Manager will ensure high-quality patient care and support professional development.
Responsibilities
- Perform plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment
- Document patient care given
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family
- Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
- Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
- Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
- Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
Requirements
- State of Michigan RN license
- Associate degree from an accredited nursing school
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
- Two (2) years nursing experience
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Two (2) years of nursing experience; Seven (7) years of managerial experience (preferred)
